There are so many exercise bikes available that its easy to be overwhelmed. Spinning bikes, stationary bikes, dual action bikes, and recumbent bikes are probably some of the terms youve heard. From the time small children are old enough to hold a baseball bat many have longed to be part of the great American pastime. Baseball bats have been around ever since the game was created and there are baseball museums that have collections of baseball bats owned and used by famous players. When kids first start to play the game of baseball they use a plastic bat. There are plastic baseball bats made today for the youngest of ballplayers and some even have baseball teams or players names on them. As children get older and more serious about the game...

Last year, I went to the annual IDEA Conference for fitness professionals. At that conference, I attended an amazing seminar about women and nutrition by Clinical Certified Nutritionist Carol Simontacchi. If you've read my Q2 2003 newsletter, you can read an interview I did with her about her great work. Today, I thought I'd share with you the notes I took while attending her seminar. The "fantasy" in fantasy baseball stands for what a team would be like with a collection of stars gathered together, not for an alternate universe where value has no relation to reality. Fantasy baseball is all about capturing players' performance on the field and translating it into a competition. To capture the offensive and defensive sides of play, both hitters' and pitchers' statistics are monitored. Runs, RBIs, battting average, home runs and stolen bases comprise the typical hitting categories, while ERA, strikeouts, wins, WHIP (walks and hits allowed per inning pitched), and saves are the usual pitching categories. At first...

Do you have a clear vision in your head of where you want to be, or what you want to accomplish when you are at a peak level of fitness? I don't mean just some vague idea - I'm talking about an actual burning mental image of a six-pack set of abs, or a nice set of curves, or a clear picture of you crossing the finish line in first place, or taking home that trophy. If you don't have that, you are already just spinning your wheels. How can you expect to get somewhere if you don't know where...

I'm not sure if Poker Scalping is a recognised term for what I'm about to explain, but for me it sums up a strategy used by a lot of professional gamblers. That strategy in a nutshell is that of preying on new and vulnerable poker players in order to win consistent hourly wages from playing poker. Every day thousands of bad poker plays go online at the nets largest poker site and play badly and lose their money. That money is won not just by good poker players but also by poker players who play systematically. That is they play...

Well, to many people sports betting is first class excitement as well as great entertainment, but you should always keep in mind that the betting industry is not here to entertain you - the bookmakers want your money and punters (gamblers) want to beat the bookies. That is the simple truth of betting; still you can have great fun betting if you control your stakes...

Tiger is great but still a long way from claiming the title of Greatest That Ever Played The Game. Although I do believe he is more then on his way to claiming that illustrious title, God willing. But until then, Slammin Sammy Snead is my pick. Thats right, not even Nicklaus. If you look at the 11 win gap between Jacks 70 total victories and Sams 81 and then figure Sams total of 165 victories he claims, no one even comes close. Sorry Jack. Now figure in the shape of the courses today, the equipment and the level of competition...
